There is a very subtle trick to manifesting, that it feels like it’s time for me to speak on.
Some people will say, out loud and often, that they are "soooo close" to whatever their goal is. Abundance. Prosperity. Relationships. Purpose. They are so happy and joyous to say "It’s coming!"
And this is incredible, it is a far cry from those saying "It’s hopeless!"
I love it.
They realize their thoughts and ideas are powerful, and make things happen. They realize that their hopeful thoughts have been far more productive in their lives than their despairing ones. Bravo
Still, you may hear them talk about things that are ‘missing‘ but are ‘coming.‘ This is wonderful, because it inspired me to write this post, and offer whatever clarity I have to others who may need it.
This kind of talk and these kinds of ideas are extremely future-tense, they’re by nature very concerned with, or focused on, ‘the future.’
All this yearning for the future, has to preclude joyous appreciation of what’s in your life now. You can’t be anxious for the future AND appreciate the now at in the same thought. They are two separate thoughts, and they each have an effect.
All this talk of something missing, showing up… eventually, is like saying that you cannot see or appreciate or be grateful for even one iota of that same thing in your life… NOW.
And always, always, always if you cannot appreciate what you have right now — your health, a penny, your friends, family, relationships, your own skills, your ability to THINK — if you cannot appreciate these things because all your thoughts circle around what’s ‘coming in the future’, you are holding it back, slowing down it’s arrival, and choosing to not have it arrive.
For myself, my words, ideas, and the things I think about are not about the past or the future. They are about the amazing things that are going on right now. They are about how amazing things happening now, are happening more and more, because hey, that is what I LIKE to think about. That’s what feels good and is fun for me. And that is what has helped me thrive and thrive and thrive. So you won’t catch me thinking another way. It’s simple. I tried it, it worked for me, and I now continue to hone that method.
So what’s the trick?
The subtle trick to experiencing what you want…
is to think and act like someone who is insane.
Think like someone who lives in this physical reality, listens to everyone talking, looks around and observes everything that is ‘missing’ and ‘showing up later’ and chooses to SEE otherwise; THINK otherwise.
Be someone who consciously and willfully dismisses the reality that everyone around them is crying out about, and that is physically observable, in favour of an imaginary one.
Live in la-la fairy-land. Crazy, I know.
I’m not suggesting do it in an obnoxious over-the-top way that makes genuine social interaction with others cumbersome or unpleasant, but in your mind, with your thoughts, strongly choose to see and feel and appreciate a dream-world NOW. If it’s time to talk about it, you’ll know. Perhaps most of the time it will be subtle and in your mind, only gently being spoken of socially. Perhaps something else. Either way, be someone who can tell a story of abundance in their life and doesn’t complain or fret and has nothing to say but beautiful tales of how their life is going, not in a lying, deceptive way, but in the manner of an insane person, truly believing their own ‘fucked up’ reality.
This is a massive jump to make for some people. To suggest that they truly convince themselves of an insane, imaginary, pretend life? Some of you might not be able to connect or resonate or understand what I’m saying at all.
That’s fine.
This post is not aimed at those people, they’ll benefit from it anyway in the long run, whether they know it or not, but it’s not aimed at those people who can barely imagine feeling better 10 years from now, let alone, immediately. They are not ready for the trick. There are steps and basics that they will prefer to focus on first. Good.
The subtle trick to manifesting truly powerfully…
is to think and act like someone who is insane.
Jesus was a master at this. He’d observe everything going on, and blissfully, faithfully, and trustingly manifest a miraculous new reality by emotionally convincing himself that it would happen. That God would deliver… and boy did he ever. The proclamations he made to the masses could easily be viewed as insane. Utterly insane.
The subtle trick to thriving truly powerfully…
is to think and act like someone who is insane.
Or if that’s too shocking a way for you to hear/understand it–
The subtle trick to getting what you want, is the same way a child does it.
Imagine, pretend, and play with what you want all the time, until it becomes a reality. Live in that reality, and allow no one to convince you otherwise. No matter what logic, facts, observations or even feelings are buzzing on around you, enjoy your dreamland, limit not your dreamland, and watch it become a reality.
For no one ‘got anywhere’ fulfilling, without dreams, and people who can relate to you tales of being extremely fulfilled in life, are those who had insane dreams, and following that a chain of beautiful coincidences, synchronicities, and miracles helping them get there (that usually end up making great biographies)
