Yeah, because 'logic', 'illogic', 'facts', and 'reality' never come into it.

I think if you spoke to these people they would've had no 'facts' to prove it to you (or the family, friends, and staff full of unbelievers).

I think if you were able to talk to any of the successes above at a teetering moment of decision, they'd be speaking confidently, passionately, and securely -- but they'd have no logic or facts to offer you, and you could very easily label them as crazy/irrational.

:)

What you'd notice they DO have is vision, love, faith in themselves (or something greater).

Actually re-reading this article from after the facebook discussion, I don't think any of these people were putting aside logic at all. What I do see in the examples are people going against popular and even expert opinions, but opinions aren't facts. Facts conform to reality because they're derived from reality, whereas opinions don't have that requirement. What do you think?

LOL... I like your prose, Lani!

Jay & Kawlinz... it's of course debateable whether a dream could ever be lame ... but, where that particular example is concerned... that is why humanity invented heels ;)

*love*heels*love* :D

Sweet Article! Just like to add that once I was coming off acid and wrote a piece of prose that went something like this -

'I did not know if i was chewing pieces of apple, or pieces of the inside of my cheek, either way, was interesting.'

Ahh, the good old days!

Yeah man, wicked! Glad to hear it... I imagined in my mind, never doubting, believing in my dream that -- we agreed ;)

Someone like Piera was able to instantly connect with Pt. 1 of the article, and Pt. 2 seemed much more suited to someone like yourself. For me, they were both abundantly clear and saying the same thing, but then, they both flowed through my mind and out of my fingers ;)

As for taboo words... I use waaaay more words than just 'faith' or 'logic.' I use words like imagination, vision, trust, love, and it's interesting for me to see which words readers choose to focus on, from the selection I offer :D

And I fully support and agree that if someone had the dream of being two heights simultaneously, that they or humanity could achieve that. It may require some kind of dimension-bending, transmuting into energy, intense quantum science, or something my limited vision and perspective can't see, but it's totally doable. Live it, believe it, have faith it's 'possible'. X becomes real ;)

Or... uh, y'know, _don't_ cuz like you said, it's a lame dream ;)

I also wanted to add, that a dream world of being 6'2" and 12'4" at the same time is a really lame dream world.

I don't see what insanity would have to do with anything here, I'd agree with everything put forward. So unless I'm crazy, it seems normal to me.

The only thing that I would disagree with is to say that the above ideas, aside from faith, don't follow logic. I think all the suggestions follow logic :)

Faith is a pretty taboo word for me but we could just have different definitions. Faith for me is believing in things, despite evidence to the contrary. You seem to be using it a way that means "believe in things that are possible". I think you'd agree with me that if my dream world includes the ability to be 6'2" and 12'4" at the same time, that this dream world is unattainable.

This article is much clearer than the last one for me tho, thanks :)
