Playing With The Best
Do you remember the last time you showed to the world the very best of who you are? Probably, it was an expression of self that was very pure, that was brought out while having genuine fun, right? Playing, one could even call it.
One of the most important elements in one’s life is their definition of play. For the time being, forget all that you “know” about hard work and grinding to achieve results. After all, the very “best results” that you’ve produced in your life have come straight out from your heart into “play”, haven’t they? While you are doing something that you love, whether that be dancing, skating, designing jewelry, martial arts, tutoring math, helping immigrants with their English, carpentry or designing websites… what are words? What are thoughts, for that matter?
It’s all play.
Conventional society teaches us to go to school, get a job, get a mate, oh and of course buy the current product they are advertising, then die… a quiet death at that. There’s nothing wrong with this common way of thinking. However, common ways of thinking brings common results… of course. There is no glory in being average.
The brainwashed people who try to mold you into themselves, into average, do they live with passion? Are they truly alive? Have they even achieved 1% of what they really want in their heart of hearts?
If not, why the heck would you bother listening?
It’s common knowledge among smart people that if you are going to imitate at all, you should imitate the very best. Who do you really feel are the best around you? Humans are social creatures, and we all learn from each other by way of imitation. If you aren’t already doing so, and you know that you are unconsciously imitating certain behaviors from otherwise “normal people”, why not consider the option of consciously imitating certain behaviors from those who you truly admire?
Throughout the years, all 25 years of my life, I’ve found and become great friends with many amazing people (allowing me to imitate them to my heart’s content). I’ve found that those whom I admired the most, those who live their lives in joy and peace, every single day of their lives, all maximize one of these 3 general principles to their fullest extent.
1) They Create Their Reality (Towards Their Higher Purpose)
You are 100% responsible for everything that has happened to you, is happening to you and will happen to you. This of course, includes all your life results: the possessions you own, the gifts you’ve given, your relationships, your surroundings and your general well-being at large. Your parents, best friends, whomever, don’t even factor in being responsible for what happens to you in life and beyond. They can provide support, but you are ultimately responsible for maintaining those relationships, ending them if and when necessary, and continually attracting better and more quality support.
You are the designated driver in your own life. Decide where you want to go and who you want to be with while you adventure forth in this wonderful life of yours that you’ve been blessed with.
2) They Evolve Often, by Often Upgrading Their Beliefs!
Bring about powerful beliefs into your life. People who have the results you want, mingle with them, contact them and somehow bring them and their beliefs into your life. If it seems hard to do that at first, stretch your imagination a little and read about people like them and imagine everything about them as vividly as possible. From their posture, their time management habits, eating, socialization… everything about them. Reflect the very best of all of that and let that inspire you to help yourself, others and the entire world.
In order to use intentions to manifest what you truly want at maximum efficiency, making your intentions play out in an incredibly valuable and positive way that helps you, the people who you are specifically planning to affect, and everyone in the world is incredibly important. This is the most effective way from my experience, whether that be to improve beliefs or create objects or relationships or cash. Recently I’ve manifested a new hobby, hip-hop dancing to replace my kickboxing, more money in the form of sudden $300 and $400 amounts, even awesome friends as you can see simply in my posting on this website (I’ve known Jason for a little less than a month).
Understand that the Universe will always respond by saying in various fashions “I’m sorry, but I love you”.
No matter what you’ve done in the past, any wrongs you’ve committed or imagined, the universe/god/jesus/buddha/jiddu krishnamurti/Jason Fonceca/ your dad loves you. Even me. Everybody and everything around you has unconditional love for you, and is there for your benefit, whether you realize it or not.
Whenever you think you push us (those who love you) away, for whatever reason, realize that we are all saying “I’m sorry, but I’m going to love you anyways, because that is who we really are”.
These three principles are a good first step to creating a life where it’s all play, and never work. I’m honestly living this kind of life right now, as hard as it may be to imagine.
So how do you “play”? Play is really everything and anything
But since that’s confusing, let’s break it down to feeling alive by doing what you know you are meant to do, providing incredible amounts of value to everyone around you and deepening your appreciation for yourself and all that you’ve ever done. An incredibly fantastic start you can create for yourself is to read the book:
Is Your Genius At Work? By Dick Richards
When you connect to your genius at play, you will feel that “everything you touch is gold”, despite life or rather, because of it(?) A pervading sense that everything will come out perfectly, even though you are completely open to all possibilities, including complete failure. Everything you touch becomes gold.
You don’t ever have to grind in order to produce results. The good stuff just comes out of you naturally. When you feel “alive”, that’s what happens. When this happens, analysis will be nearly meaningless on a day-to-day basis. Everything, and by everything I mean all your decisions, will become intuitively refined. Everything just flows. Doing what you want and doing what is right will be the same and it’ll come out of you like a gushingly cheerful heart-shaped water fountain. And I totally mean this without exaggeration.
Maybe you have forgotten the feeling of knowing that you could do just about anything. When you start playing again, you will remember how. Play is magical. With this magic in your life, you can do just about anything. You will know real relief, the kind that could only come out of just letting your guard down, having complete trust in what’s happening in the present moment and appreciating everything that comes your way.
Simply imagine the perfect day. What about today even, isn’t absolutely, without a doubt, sing-along with your best friend perfect?
I don’t see any part of my life or in my current reality that isn’t.
Everyday.
Is a perfect day. It’s just confronting the truth of the matter that this is true. It’s perfect because what you are getting is what you have created in your life. No matter how involved you are in your business, your love life, your newest innovation, if you are avoiding your (true) feelings of going onto the path that feels right, the path with a heart, you are simply going to be waiting much longer to fulfill your destiny in this world.
If you are in a situation that you don’t completely love and don’t have absolute clarity about what direction to go, realize that this in itself is “okay”. Acceptance is key to get into doing what you love. Shout it out loud, on a piece of paper or even mentally, “this situation is wrong for me but I will need to remain in this situation for now because I don’t see any other alternatives”. This acceptance of your current situation will allow you to open up new opportunities and resources that otherwise would not be there for you, leading to amazing alternate possibilities.
It’s like having a lot of Art that used to feel beautiful to you, and knowing that it needs to go to another place now, because your room needs to evolve into a different colour. You might not change it today, tomorrow or even 1 or 2 years from now. But when you know your room needs to and will change, you will have access to those mental and physical resources to do something about it. You will find an immediate surge of energy to do something. The feeling is so strong, it’s almost sexual.
Start saying no to the things you need to say no to. Free yourself up to saying yes to the things you want your life to comprise of. Accept the life that you know you were ultimately meant to have. For yourself, and for the greatest good of all, stop pretending or living in denial. And if you aren’t and are moving towards a bright day and future ahead of you – that’s wonderful!
I appreciate everything. These 3 weeks of my life have been intense. Intensely amazing. In terms of growth, across all areas of my life. I also have a deep overall sense of appreciation, feeling of well-being and understanding that everything is perfect no matter where I go and what I do.
I do what feels right. Part of what I do as a partner of SpiritSentient.com is to contribute to the blog production. However, I might not necessarily write on a daily basis, or even weekly. If I chose to, I can make the decision to stop writing entirely. If I chose to, I can do something else entirely. Or even quit SpiritSentient.com. Being open to any type of failure is the key to being fearless, of playing like a child at his prime, everyday of one’s life. When I stopped chasing pieces of paper, whether that be a degree or money, and started following what I knew to be a heart-centered path, life became really easy. And that’s how life is meant to be. Easy and joyous. Human growth, in all areas of your life, can be easy – if you only allow it to be so. All of that comes from trusting the universe for whatever it brings into your reality and having a deep appreciation for everything that you become aware of. Have you heard the saying that all great art comes out of a deep feeling of gratefulness?
Actually, all great expressions of self come out of a deep sense of gratefulness. Having a deep well of gratefulness for all the wonderful mentors I’ve been blessed to have in my life, I’ve found what I’m meant to do and who I really am. Who I am and what I’m about is helping others express themselves in a deeper fashion. I flow with what’s going on around me and reflect the best of what I see.
I implore you to search for the play that engages your heart and allows you to engage the hearts of others. What that may be for you will certainly sound different than how I expressed my play in the paragraph above. When you choose to be responsibly selfish, to play instead of work to be your primary source of intrinsic and social value you deliver to society, you will know in your heart that everything is perfect, and that your reality is a joyous adventure, to be savored at every second within every minute of your life.
Happy playing
Arthur

Brilliant debut post, Arthur!
So what’ll we play next, do you think
A little world domination, a little baby seal clubbing and some kfc sounds like it would really hit the spot
Hear hear. Well said, Art.
lol
Interestingly, this post “attracted” my attention at just the right time, though I’d been aware of it’s existance for a while. It helped me access a sense of appreciation for this day, which, yes, is indeed perfect. “Perfect”, like “joy”… like everything… is simply an attitude to cultivate.
Besides, no other day captures today quite like today does
Btw, “the universe/god/jesus/buddha/jiddu krishnamurti/jason fonceca/” <—LMAO! Priceless!
P.S.- I could take issue with the word imitate… but… I’m just not gonna. The intended meaning is the same either way.
You find so many great websites on Craigslist.
This advice is really going to help, thanks.
