Do you like feeling energized? Do you like passionately giving energy to stuff you believe in? Do you have any idea about the energy going back and forth in your relationship?
I certainly didn’t, especially 1-to-1 partnerships.
I’ve always felt powerful, capable, a genius. I was raised that way, and I like it. I have a history of over-achieving and loving success, and even if people don’t see it, I know I excel. I’m very sensitive to getting the details right and improving whenever I learn something.

Danny is an absolutely amazing guy, who’s got quite an impressive story. He took the bold step of quiting school at age 15, to pursue entrepreneurship (Richard Branson, anyone?) He wanted to make the world a better place, so he started up a company. He spent every penny he had to get an investor on board, and when he finally did that, the markets crashed and he lost it all. He’s come a long way since then, and now teaches and trains with his definitive marketing training for small-businesseses and ‘non-marketers’

Liz is in a different world altogether, and spent her early years under the wing of one of my favourite inspirational speakers, Sean Stephenson. She worked with him on Inner Game Magazine, and helps guys get inside women’s hearts, minds, and p****, and she does it with integrity and style. My favourite part of her site are the comments on her articles. She often shares very, very helpful wisdom about dating, relationships, and women, and the responses shed even more light on things. One of my favourite articles was when she talked about "Getting Your Girlfriend To Lose Weight." – Wow. So, I can change people by believing in them, right?
We-ell, yes and no.
This is one of life’s most misunderstood behaviours. There’s one view which says ‘people don’t change’, and there’s another view that says anyone can change, at any moment. So how do we sort out all these conflicting views?
Changing With Others
The way it works is that you change yourself, whenever you’re ready, and then all the people swirling around you have an opportunity to roll with that change, or hate on it. It’s kind of like improv.
In improv, the rule is "yes-and" (and not "no-but"), you affirm and add to whatever the other person is offering. So if we take two people building an improv sketch about meeting at a bus stop, it might look something like this:
