Careful What You Wish For

careful_what_you_wish_forYou’ve most likely heard the phrase ‘Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it,’ and what you may not be aware of is how deep, meaningful, and applicable it is.

Our world is ever-changing, ever-evolving, and humanity’s come a long way. We’re constantly learning new things, adapting new ways, and expanding our vision of life. This is related powerfully to the thoughts we, as human beings, engage in. If we imagine that strongly that a secure job at a single company is ‘the good life,’ then that is what our actions will drive us towards, and that is what we’ll teach our young people. If we imagine that life is hard, everything is a struggle, and no opportunities come our way, then that is what our actions will bring us, and that is the attitude our children will have as an example.

Thoughts are extremely powerful; thoughts bring change.

You may have heard the phrase ‘Law of Attraction’, possibly on this site, or in the movie ‘The Secret,’ or perhaps you’ve encountered it elsewhere, and that’s great. Consciously understanding the Law of Attraction on a mass scale is kind of a new vista for us here on Earth. Many people have understood it here and there on a small scale or even large in the past (Jesus & Buddha, Bruce Lee & Maya Angelou, for example), but to have a good chunk of ‘the common man’ become even remotely interested in this, is very cool, and movies like ‘The Secret’ do an excellent job of getting the word out.

It feels like they simply open a door though. There is a much deeper understanding of the Law of Attraction available, and many nuances and subtleties to pursue if one is interested in truly, consciously mastering it.

Neale Donald Walsch touches on many of them in his latest book, ‘Happier Than God’, which is an excellent read. He addresses the fact that the Energy of Attraction is ‘always on,’ its a universal energy field or principle, which means that every tiny little thought we think ‘attracts’ a new action/experience/opportunity to us. I’m talking here of something called ‘Inadvertent Selection.’

This aspect of the Law of Attraction ties in directly to ‘being careful what you wish for,’ because you could have one brief thought that ‘life is good and money is coming’, followed by many prolonged thoughts about ‘how destitute things are’, ‘how low accounts are’ and ‘how worrying things look’ and the Law of Attraction will immediately spring into action, giving you the latest selected thoughts. We often waffle back-and-forth in situations like these, thinking positively, loving life, and bringing ourselves experiences which help, but our minds are known to slip back or switch back to thinking ‘negative’ things, which appear to ‘negate’ our previous thoughts. I say ‘appears’ to negate, because they don’t really, and of course we are always free at any moment, right down to our last moment on this mortal coil (and beyond) to choose a different thought.

It’s because of this concept, that I highly, highly recommend staying positive and doing what feels good and imagining good things no matter what situation you’re in. Whether it’s participating in your favourite activity (I know what mine is ;) ), or being emotionally or physically tortured, ‘find your happy place.’

The phrase ‘be careful what you wish for’ has been around for ages, and in the past, has not really been explained so directly and in so much detail, but to me it feels like the Process of Conscious Creation wants its’ time in the sun, and the world is ready for it.

I deeply wish for you all to have everything your hearts desire; I know you want awesome amazing and wonderful things in the world, and I fully intend for this explanation to help you reach those goals.

Since I’m aware of how important it is to maintain focus on great things, I’ve put together this inspirational video, written by me, put to an extremely upbeat song by T.I. and Rihanna you may be familiar with, and featuring some beautiful photos gathered from around the net (which I’ve focused on crediting wherever possible).

I trust you’ll enjoy it, it’s ballin’ yo. P.S. It’s highly recommended to watch this full-screen in *high def*.
