Boredom Vs. Inspiration

Boredom Vs. Inspiration

"…boredom. I don’t really understand channeling and inspiration, maybe you could talk about that?"

Boredom is an indication to change something. Do something different.

By channeling inspiration and passion, by acting without hesitation at the right time, by Doing What Feels Right

On channeling inspiration:

"I’m channeling right now, and so are you.

The thing about channeling is, it comes when the time is right, just like a symphony. Inspiration and passionate action are part of it. With Arthur and I, it developed into a friendship, an organic relationship that results in amazing things. Inspiration bubbles up at will for us now, it’s like, intending to eat food, it’s not difficult. You have the thought of wanting food, intend to get some, and go get it. This is a simple experience most are familiar with. When you’re just learning, when you’re a child who can’t reach the counter, it is much different to acquire food, it may even at times feel impossible, or like food is never coming, and non-stop crying is the only way. Through practice and growth (physical or otherwise), it becomes easy to manifest food for yourself. The same goes for inspiration, it can become easy.

Inspiration isn’t some, like, crazy hard experience to manifest, but it may have started out that way! Some people feel it is, and won’t try. They claim they haven’t ever had inspiration, or it’s "dried up" and they judge everything that’s not some masterpiece of art that the world notices as *not-inspiration*, but things dry up only when you don’t use them. When you don’t practice or focus and you never spend any time at all doing anything with them. Children keep trying if they want to master anything they really want. It will pop up in their minds, they’ll sit down and try, undaunted by failure, and then at some point, they have it.

Before I began answering this question, I paused, and then [Arthur] prompted me, and it was that pause and that promtping that allowed the answer come forth. The whole answer feels inspired, and for a brief moment, the inspiration had indicated to me that it was not perfect timing to continue, and flowing with it made me pause. If now was not the right time, then this conversation would end, no blog post would come of it, until the time was right.

It turned out that, the perfect timing for this answer, was only after a pause and a prompt. Ok, no problem.

The same goes for channeling anything! If you are going to create a KIVA video, or a farewell song, or a piece of art or a blog post, or an article, it can only come at the right time.  You can’t force it. If it feels right to sit down and try, follow the feeling. If it feels good to say fuck it and go talk to a friend, do so. If it feels good to just watch a movie, do it. That movie may contain the seeds, thoughts, or inspiration to let the most amazing creation flow out of your hands.

I don’t just sit around making blog posts all day, the right time so far, seems to be when [Arthur] come[s] over and [has] like, an intention/question of some kind and I need a break from the computer and using my eyes, and the unvierse works on multiple levels so that the channeling is perfect.

That is usually when the beautiful creation flows quickly and easily. Sometimes, it’s not.

Most people, many artists call it inspiration, spiritualtists and astrologists call it channeling, the religious call it God’s Will, it doesn’t really matter, the process is the same…

Each person has a soul, and each soul has a purpose and what that person channels in their life is very closely related to their soul’s purpose, this is why we have variety, because everyone channels a different inspiration, in a different area, at a different time, and so beauty and evolution springs up perfectly.

This is why we have some visual artists and painters channeling images for the world. This is why we have musicians and dancers chanelling entertaining shows. This is why we have writers and journalists channeling books and articles. Some people channel things that are… much more abstract, less tangible, less physical… some people channel relationships and somehow seem to magically manifest relationships wherever they go in a very powerful way…

On muses:

Some people are muses and bring out the best channeling in others… and it looks to the world as if they channel nothing, no inspiration. For they don’t create, they don’t do anything (the world has often been obsessed with doing,) they simply exist and enjoy life but while they are doing this — they’re channeling the inspiration of other people’s channeling and so everyone wants them around.

Throughout history there are many examples of tons of artists and creators who created most powerfully, passionately and fulfilingily when there was a presence of another person with them, beside them. Van Gogh & Gaugin, John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Henry Miller & Anais Nin, the list goes on.

We’ve spoke before on how any piece of awesome technology requires an energy source, batteries, electricity, fuel and really, the majortiy of the world gives very little appreciation or note or care to those energy sources…

People will say, ‘iPods rock so hard, you gotta get one!’, but oh you’ll never here ‘yeah man, electricity is the bomb, love that stuff!’

The thing is, both parts are vital to the beauty of the iPod. The world often has trouble appreciating what they cannot see, but the seen and the unseen together are key, to true powerful beautiful creation. The muses are massively appreciated by us, man."

The above was a rant I gave, transcribed by Arthur. It was originally filled with a million typos because I spoke fast and he typed fast. We’re sharing it here, as an example of an inspired answer coming from an inspired question.
