Oh, and btw, for anyone who enjoys active creativity in food’s appearence, I highly recommend 2 gems from the Food Network channel: “Ace of Cakes”, and the Food Network Challenges (particularly those involving cake!).
In both cases they sculpt those cakes into anything and everything you can think of…
the last Food Network Challenge involved a gingerbread house competition, it was unbelievable! )
And the last Ace of Cakes ep, they made a pinball machine cake with all the details… seriously awesome shows, highly recommended! )

Ok, this does it, my next batch of shortbread cookies will simply have to be expertly sculpted.
Something tells me I either have an unusual shortbread cookie recipe, or your mom has a particularly fine and complex one, cause my dough seems wonderfully workable.

I don’t use icing, so working in color is out, but… I wonder how well my dough can be worked into 3-D forms.
Gah! and we haven’t even finished off the last batch and now I wanna create more, like, NOW! I gotta know if I can do better then those! lol
Do you believe in competitive creativity? lmao :-p
