11. Already Home

Summary of Principles:

Talk about visualization…

[Hook] – [Kid Cudi]
Oh, They want me to fall (fall)
Fall from the top (top)
They want me to drop (drop)
They want me to stop (stop)
They want me to go (go)
I’m already gone (already)
The shit that I’m on (hey)
I’m already homeThis chorus sums up nicely the concept of visualizing the ending.

[Jay Z]
Hey, I’m already home
Now one more gin

[Hook]

[Verse 1]
These niggas want me to go
Don’t they know that I’m gone
They know I’m space shuttle level
They need oxyg-g-g-gjohhhn
Don’t they know that they boring?
Don’t they know that I yawn?
Only time they exciting is when they mentioning Shawn
Jay-Z rhetorically asks if his critics and wannabes are even aware that they lack passion in all areas of their lives, save when they are gossiping about Shawn ’Jay-Z’ Carter.

Seen Single White Female when she dyed her hair blonde?
Sometimes I look at these rappers
The movie remind me of them
Somebody turn these boys off
Don’ they know that I’m on
Can’t they see that it’s foolish to try and kill me with songs
What the fuck are they Lauryn
They killing me softly
You talk me to death, only thing you can do to him
I open the door for them, what else can I do
These niggas want me to walk for them
Somebody talk to them
Before I go off on themThe true way to help anyone in the world is to be an example, show a way, and open the door for others -- despite doing all that, it is always, always left to that person’s personal freedom to step through it.

[Hook]

[Verse 2]
I taught ’em ’bout fiscal, they want me to fish for them
They want me to catch, clean, then cook up a dish for them
All of this just for them
Or they got a diss for him
They want me to disappear
Like it’s gon' do shit for them
They say that I’m in the way
They want me to sit for them
But what they admitting is they ain’t got shit for him
Many people may sit around complain, point and whine that a certain person has all the fame, or stole all the show, or has all the success -- but what they are really admitting is they have nothing to offer the world.

And really the fact is, we not in the same bracket
Not in the same league
Don’t shoot at the same baskets
Don’t pay the same taxes
Hang with the same bitches
So how am I in the way, what is it I’m missing?
The point here is, everyone attracts their own circles in life, directly related to their own personl purpose and vision, and Jay-Z doesn’t run in the same circles with all his critics, the resources and options and challenges he deals with are not one’s he has ’stolen’ from others, they are one’s that he has attracted through his passion and mindset.

Nigga I been missing
Nigga I been gone
The shit that you just witnessesing I been on
And as for the critics, tell me I don’t get it
Everybody can tell you how to do it, they never did it
If your purpose and intention is to be an industry leader, be careful listening to the advice of critics and nay-sayers, as they have never actually accomplished what they are attempting to ’teach’ or ’advise’ you on.

Now these niggas is mad
Oh they call me a Camel
But I mastered the drought, what the fuck I’m an animal
Half-man half-mammal
My sign is a Sadge
This is just what I planned to do
Oh don’t be mad

[Hook]

[Verse 3]
I’m in The Hall already
On the wall already
I’m a work of art
I’m a Warhol already
On another level, on another plane already
H-O-V
I got my own lane already (already)
I done cooked up the rock already
So why the fuck can’t y’all get hot already (already)
Put your name in the pot alreadyIf anyone would like success, Jay-Z points out that he has opened doors, changed the game, and allowed many to come through the path he’s carved. His show-stealing mastery of traditionally Indie Rock Only, Glastonbury Festival in the UK is a jaw-dropping example of this. Jay-Z brought hip-hop to a massive new audience, opening many minds to a huge genre of music. I’d LOVE for him to be embraced by the ’Spiritually Conscious’ crowd.

Niggas compare me to Biggie and Pac (already)
Like I’m gone already
And I am nigga I’m already home already (already)
If y’all can’t already see
I aint worried about y’all cause I’m already me (already)
Do you, already
One of my favourite lines, Jay’s basically saying he doesn’t worry about what anyone else does or says, because he understands he can change himself and everything changes. If something is not going well in one’s life, there is always a thought one can access, a choice one can make, that affects powerful change. Focus on your self, for you have no real control over anyone else.

Enough with the complaining, boo-hoo's already
Eat food already
Ain't nothing given you gotta claim your shoes alreadyStep up with confidence into what is yours.

Yeah so on this summation I don’t know who you racing
I’m already at the finish line with the flag wavingUltimately Jay-Z feels, speaks, thinks, and acts as if he is already the king, and though he recorded these songs for his 11th album and it was possible the album would not be a number one on the charts... It was received incredibly well and cemented him a record which beats Elvis, the previous ’King,’ and so Jay-Z basically IS what he envisioned as he wrote. The other idea here is that racing and competition are not the strongest choice one can make, forget racing and simply be the best ’you’ you can.

SpiritSentient already gone too ;)

Summary of Principles:

Critics and "what other people think" have traditionally been a massive challenge for people to overcome, Jay-Z and Kanye’s beautiful Ode To Haters, is beautiful.

[Kanye West]
How much they hate it? very!
Kiss girls like Katy Perry
I am never sprung, but I Spring ‘er, Jerry
Don’t try this at home: results may vary
King like T.I But in the Chi, Larry

[Jay-Z]
Hoover, Hova
Both are American Gangsters
You choose whose colder
Rappers get nasty in the booth but I’m gross
I can’t even stomach myself, ulcer!
More realer cos I’m closer
Had girlies in girdles wearing more than they supposed to
Poser, no sir
My hustle, so Russell
I stretch work, yoga
You know i got it down dog, Al Roker
I used to knock pounds off
It ain’t nothing for me to knock some nouns off
At these MC’s praying for my downfall
They just haters, I wave at you
I’m so player
I’ll never be done, I’m so ra-reWave at the haters, they are displaying their own dis-satisfaction at life.

[Kanye West]
We killing the game, its not fair
You muthafuckers stay right there
Cuz we too high up in the air
We blasting off just like a laser
Nigga, pee-une, pee-une, pee-une
Gimme back, gimme room room room
DB9 like vroom vroom vroom
Young Hov what we doin doin doin?

[Jay-Z]
We ballin, bitches
Eating y’all food leaving dishes
Why these niggas always talking Lear talk ‘Ye?
Why I never see ‘em at the clear port ‘Ye?
Why always hear they at the airport?
Why I fly daily like I’m in the Air Force?
Therefore, please stop talking my ears off
millionnaire talk
You haters, you mad at me cos your paper
need to get its muthafucking weight up
Hold up
Wait up, I ain’t done
Name one thing I ain’t done
It hurts when you say that I ain’t the one
You haters
How do I gain your favor?
I need to know because I care-ah
I need you to love me cos I swear-ah
Jay’s succeeded at everything he’s put his hand to, and and still people criticize him. He sings these lines sarcastically, as if he cares what they think.

Look here-ah, see ’Ye is running the Chi’ like Gale Sayers
I’m running New York, I got the mayor on my pager
You can’t fade us, you haters
I need you, stay the-ere, I breathe you
like air-ahLove and appreciate all the critics and haters, for they serve a function and a purpose in life, inspire many and focus people’s attention. Jay and Kanye passionately sing a tribute to all those who hate on them.

This song actually inspires me to create more haters.
